UNIT 6: DEFINITIONS


  1. PINEAPPLE: It’s big and oval. It’s brown and yellow and it’s got spiky green  leaves at the top.
  2. PLUMS: They’re round or oval and sweet. They’re bigger than cherries. They’re green, yellow, red or purple.
  3. SPINACH: It’s got dark green leaves. You can cook it or eat it raw in salad.
  4. RASPBERRIES: They’re small, round, sweet and red. They grow on a bush.
  5. PEPPER: You can cook it or eat it raw in salad. You can also buy ones that are green, yellow and orange.
  6. AVOCADO: It’s green or black and the same shape as a pear
  7. AUBERGINE: It’s a vegetable. It’s got a purple skin and it’s white inside.
  8. GRAPES: They’re small, round and sweet. They’re green, red or purple. You can obtain wine from them.
  9. CHERRIES: They’re small, round and sweet. There are often two together. They can be black or red.
  10. CAULIFLOWER: It’s a vegetable with green leaves and a big white head.
